The Counselling Room
I am a professional and qualified Counsellor practicing in Ashford Kent. The Counselling Room can work with a wide variety of problems such as anxiety, low self esteem, anger, stress, relational issues, depression, building confidence and self esteem figuring out life direction and so much more. Your counselling will take part in a safe and supportive environment so that you may begin to explore the issues that cause you concern in your daily life. Counselling isn’t about providing advice but the counsellor will support and respect your views. Everything you say will be listened to without judgement. You and your counsellor will explore different ways of thinking and feeling in relation to the issues that you bring.
It has to be acknowledged that between client and counsellor the professional relationship will eventually be the vehicle for change. We will talk through this and create mutual and agreed expectations of one another from the outset. The relational aspect of ourselves can become stuck and/or misjudged causing patterns of behaviour that can lead to uncertainty, sadness, anger, bitterness and much more. Please give at the very least 24hrs notice for cancellation otherwise full payment will be required for the missed session.
Payment will be taken in advance of each session.
Sessions start @ £55.
A review of our sessions will take place on 4th/5th session to assess work done and clarify further need.
There are exceptions to confidentiality that will be fully explained and understanding clarified before any therapy is commenced.
Everything else will remain confidential.
Counsellors are required to have regular/ongoing supervision to ensure good practice. Confidentiality of any subject matter is upheld by using an indexing system and not personal credentials.
